Lady's Finger kootu
INGREDIENTS :
- Lady's finger - 2 cup
- Tamarind - Lemon size
- Dry red chilly - 2
- Green chilly - 2
- Mustard seeds - 1/4 spoon
- Urad dal - 1/2 spoon
- Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Small onion - 10
- Curry leaf - few
- Oil for fry
- Salt to taste
METHOD :
- Soak tamarind in water and extract pulp. Keep aside.
- Cut Lady's finger into small pieces.
- Heat oil add mustared seeds, urade dal, curry leaf, dry red chilly, green chilly, and chopped onion. Fry well.
- Add Asafoetida, and turmeric powder.
- Add Lady's finger. Fry well.
- Then pour tamarind extract.
- Allow it to boil till thick.
- Lady's finger kootu is ready.
