- Carrot - 1 cup
- Small onion - 8 - 10
- Urad dal - 1/4 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
- Green chilly - 2
- Curry leaf - few
- Grated coconut - 2 spoon
- Oil for fry
- Salt to taste
- Cut carrot into small pieces.
- Cook carrot separately.
- Heat oil add mustard seeds, green chilly, urad dal, curry leaf and chopped onion. Fry till golden brown.
- Add carrot and salt. Fry well.
- Add grated coconut with it. Mix well.
- Carrot poriyal is ready
