Cabbage Masala Kootu
INGREDIENTS :
- Chopped onion - 1/2 cup
- Cabbage - 1cup ( Shredded)
- Moong dal - 1/4 cup
- Cinnamon - 1 piece
- Clove - 2
- Cardamom - 1
- Grated coconut - 1 tsp
- Dry red chilly - 4
- Coriander seeds
- Oil for fry
- Salt to taste
- Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
METHOD :
- Heat pan add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, cumin seeds, and coriander seeds. Fry till it turns into light brown color.
- Grind the fried items with grated coconut, red chilly, and water.
- Heat oil Add mustard seeds and chopped onion. fry well.
- Add moong dal and water. Allow it to boil for 5 minutes.
- Add cabbage and ground masala items. Let it boil until it is thick.
- Cabbage masala kootu is ready.
